Oklahoma! arrived to Franklin Park for the first time and became Main Street’s first high school summer camp. Equity actress and Helen Hayes Award winner Karlah Louis was at the helm also designing and building sets, outfitting cowhands in chaps and hats, and sewing many a sherbet-colored petticoat for their dancing girlfriends. The result was a sun-setting scenes backed by gorgeous projections of big sky Oklahoma and a dramatic portrayal of the lives and loves of farmers and cowmen.

Junior Rachel Walton of LVHS and Loudoun School of Ballet choreographed and also danced the Dream Laurey ballet sequence. The performances were a dream come true for many and an old-fashioned pie sale raised funds for Oklahoma tornado relief.
